Burn’s Supper Will Be A Great Night For The Bard

During a look through the archives, I came across articles from the Burns Supper Silver Jubilee in 2001.

Colin Cuthell was in the Chair and the Immortal Memory was called by T. Myles.  Rev John Jenkinson replied for the Lassies. Anne Laing did the reply for the Lassies. Willie Kirk did a reading before some music from Carriden Band.

Toast to Bo’ness was done by David Richardson.  Bill Braid was on hand to toast the guests with Captain Ken Crowther replying “The Guest.”

The guests during the speeches the Company sang along to some Burns songs during the presentations.

Wullie Kirk was doing his act under candlelight and dressed as Wee Wullie Winkie and was superb.  David Inglis finished the night off with “The Vote of Thanks”

You may notice many names that are no longer with us and they will be watching over the return of Burns Night for The Bo’ness Fair. Tickets for this year’s event are available on our online bookings at Burns Night Tickets
