FAIR ROAD CLOSURES

 

FRIDAY 24th JUNE – BO’NESS CHILDREN’S FAIR FESTIVAL

Bo’ness –
9 am Leave Deanburn Primary School by the northeast gate, cross the burn into Buchanan Court, Dawson Place, Bo’mains Road, Jamieson Avenue, Linlithgow Road, Braehead, enter Glebe Park at the main pathway on Braehead.

Bo’ness –
9 am, leave St Mary’s Primary School turning left onto Gauze Road, left to Kinglass Avenue, crossroads to Erngath, left to Braehead into Glebe Park for crowning ceremony.

Bo’ness –
10 am from Bo’ness Public School via the bottom gate onto School Brae, proceed up the hill to junction with Braehead. Turn left onto Braehead then sharp left again into Glebe Park.

Bo’ness –
10 am from Grange Primary School and turn right onto Grange Loan, Grange Terrace, Braehead into Glebe Park for crowning ceremony.

Bo’ness –
10 am, from Kinneil Primary School, turn right onto Dean Road, turn left at the traffic lights, walk down Linlithgow Road then turn right onto Braehead into Glebe Park for crowning ceremony.

Bo’ness –
12 noon Main Procession from the west end of both Stewart Avenue and Braehead, Church Wynd, Seaview Place, North Street, Main Street, Grangepans, Cowdenhill Road, Philpingstone Road, Grange Loan, top of Harbour Road, Grahamsdyke Road, Dean Road to finish at Douglas Park.

ALL CARS AND VANS ARE REQUESTED TO PARK OFF THE MAIN ROADS

7-9 am Bands will be parading around areas of the town between 7-9 am which could maybe have a hold up of a minute or two so please take care on the roads and leave plenty of room if directed safely to pass.

8 am Road signs have been installed to say roads will be closed between
8 am-3.30 pm on the main roads

9 am roads around Glebe Park will be closed including Braehead, Stewart Avenue, area of Linlithgow Road, Church Wynd to Seaview junction, between Braehead & Stewart Avenue while the schools gather to enter Glebe Park. Followed by the floats and bands as they take up position to filter into place for the procession. They will remain closed until the procession has left.

12 noon onwards we would expect the Road Marshall’s to close off roads which the Procession will take around the town and the junctions that run onto these main roads.
