Queen Sophie Rutherford Crown Bo’ness Fair Queen

Sophie Rutherford has been crowned Queen of Bo’ness or to give it the full title Bo’ness Children’s Fair Festival.
The stunning setting held its own as the light rain appeared but never put the event in any doubt about moving indoor.
Mrs Heather Cullen, a former assistant head teacher at Kinneil School had a lump in her throat as she announced Queen Sophie. But her voice changed as she thanked Blackness Primary School where she looked after her flock for years as a teacher then head at the tiny school where for years have took part in our Children’s Fair Festival with fantastic characters from the pupils as presentees, flower girls, fairies plus parents and guardians who took part dressed up or carrying their school banner.
Your names will remain on the honour list in programmes and on here from your year and also in alphabetical order.
Back to the main event.  Queen Sophie will now go on to follow Queen Ella and we are sure she will make Bo’ness a more prominent town on the map and wish her every success in the events she will attend in the coming 12 month.
