KALLIE Van Der Hoek from the Grange has won the Helen Ward – Birkby Cup for her story on a Fair memory, all school pupils in Bo’ness were invited to write theirs.
Frank McGarry announced the winner as he started to read her story and you could see her sister our reigning Queen shed a tear in joy.
It was a close call and runner up was this year’s Champion Zac Irvine.
