Lanark Lanimers Day
Chairman Frank McGarry was attending his first Lanimers Day as Chairman supported by his wife and Maria and Jim Ford. Also, another young couple who I never recognised.
Our leader looked as if he was heading for The Oval with his chain, clip board and supporting a new white Panama hat.
The weather was cool, to begin with as the judging began the rounds doing houses, streets, the character groups from all ages, and the famous paper flower-decorated vehicles and warmed up just before the procession started which comes before the crowning.
