Obituary: Shirley George

It is with regret that we inform you of the sad news of the passing of 1985 Queen of the Fairies Shirley Waugh. Her daughter Shelley would follow her in those Fairy Footsteps 22 years later becoming Queen of the Fairies.
The main character is a hard position for anyone but she followed up her training in the first degree taking the waltz steps from the top of the Glebe Park to the main stage before Queen Elect Lynette Murray.
After leaving school, it was strange to see a girl cleaning windows but she made it a great success then opening Pardovan Feeds
Her interests never left from a young age through her love for horses and her special white one (Skye).  Interest in Bo’ness Fair never left her and always keep an eye open to see who was who and asking when the Queen was being selected.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her loving family and friends at this very sad time.
